Border Security Organizations

Abstract
This study aims to introduce border security organizations in some countries in general, and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular. The researcher used the descriptive method in conducting this study. The findings of the study show that countries attached great importance to tightening control over the land and sea borders. Countries assigned this task to specific specialized organizations. These organizations are similar in that their organization is characterized as being military, their organizations and names differ from one country to another. Some of these organizations are associated with the Ministry of Interior, while in other countries they are associated with the Ministry of Defence. Australia is characterized by its reliance on groups of volunteers to monitor the coasts and to counter drug trafficking and terrorist activities.
The recommendations of the study stressed on the following issues: The importance of intensifying the staff training in border security organizations. The use of modern electronic systems to protect and guard land and sea borders.
