Abstract

Security and judicial systems are increasingly adopting AI tools that analyze handwriting, voice patterns, and digital behavioral indicators. These tools can support investigative judges when assessing a suspect’s behavioral profile—without constituting psychological diagnosis. This study clarifies practical mechanisms for integrating such applications into security investigations through a comparative legal approach examining Arab and international experiences, analyzing the technical characteristics of AI-generated digital indicia, and deriving statistical indicators of their global growth.
The study uses descriptive, analytical, comparative, and inductive methods, including analysis of relevant legal texts, review of recent trends in technical evidence, and examination of available data in security reports and studies. Findings indicate that AI can improve investigative accuracy and efficiency, and that international data show a marked expansion in handwriting, voice, and behavioral analysis.
The study concludes that safe, effective integration of AI into investigative procedures requires a clear legal framework for intelligent evidence and stronger technical competencies within judicial and security institutions, while safeguarding due-process guarantees. It also stresses that AI outputs should be treated as supportive indicia aiding assessment and decision-making, not as conclusive proof on their own.
