Abstract

This research shows future strategies for managing risks of epidemics and disasters in light of the negative impacts and repercussions affecting the world in the light of the new coronavirus crisis.

The research includes an introductory section and four sections. The first section describes the research problem by highlighting the main question and sub-questions of the research. The research objectives, importance and terminologies are also presented in this section. The second section discusses the management of risks associated with epidemics and health disasters. It explains how we can be prepared and ready to face them. The third section sheds light upon the most critical consequences affecting the health, economic, social, psychological, and political fields because of the outbreak of COVID-19. The fourth section explores the most important strategic transitions that may happen in the future after the end of the coronavirus pandemic. The lessons learned and the harsh experience affecting the world during the epidemic outbreak are elucidated in this section.

In its concluding section, the research presents some findings and recommendations for highlighting the risks of epidemics and disasters. It demonstrates that a paradigm shift should be made for enhancing the capabilities and preparedness of countries in the future. Subsequently, we can prevent or at least reduce the negative effects of such disasters.
