Abstract

As soon as the availability of a vaccine against the emerging Corona virus was announced in the news, there were many discussions about the permissibility of compulsory vaccination. Despite the escalation of anti-vaccination campaigns, and the spread of false news, there were people who voiced their support for compulsory vaccination. In light of that, this research focuses on the compatibility of the policy of compulsory vaccination with the principles of human rights stipulated in international law. This is done by reviewing international treaties, agreements, and case laws issued by some relevant international organizations, with the purpose of reviewing the grounds that justify the policy of compulsory vaccination from the perspective of international human rights law.
