Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the role of AI in enhancing security and surveillance by reviewing leading international practices, with a focus on the legal and ethical challenges facing its applications. The study addressed the issue of the balance between the use of AI to achieve effective security and respect for privacy and individual rights. The descriptive-analytical approach was used to analyze international experiences such as the United States, China, and the United Arab Emirates in security AI applications. The results found that AI contributes to improving the efficiency of security systems through the speed and accuracy of data analysis, but it faces challenges related to privacy violations and lack of cyberinfrastructure in some countries, and the study showed the importance of international cooperation to develop joint strategies. The most important recommendations included developing legislation regulating the use of AI, improving cyberinfrastructure, training security personnel, strengthening international cooperation and developing ethical standards.
