Abstract

The study aims to identify the role of Faculty members toward enhancing the intellectual Security Among undergraduate Students at king Abdul-Aziz University, and to know whether there are statistically significant differences between the average estimates of the study sample due to the variable (gender - marital status - academic year - academic specialization). The descriptive analytical approach was used, and the study population consisted of undergraduate students at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study sample was (942) students. The questionnaire was used as a tool for the study, and the investigation reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The averages of the responses of the members of the study community towards the role of faculty members in enhancing intellectual security among undergraduate students at King Abdulaziz University came with arithmetic averages located in a (high) degree of practice. There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) in the mean scores of the study sample about the role of faculty members at King Abdulaziz University towards enhancing intellectual security among undergraduate students, due to the difference in the gender variable in favor of males. The study clarified some recommendations that would raise the levels of intellectual security for students, enhance the intellectual security of students, and strengthen the intellectual aspect of deviating from the values and foundations of society and its true religion, Which includes - increasing the participation of faculty members in practical colleges in providing constructive and objective solutions that contribute to confronting the dangers of extremism and intellectual intolerance, and emphasizing the principle of moderation and moderation.
