Abstract
This study aims to identify the role of the administrative approach in combating human trafficking through the application of knowledge management as a model. The researcher used the analytical survey method and a questionnaire as the study tool. A simple random sample of 344 employees from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development working in the field of combating human trafficking was selected for this study. The study reached several conclusions, most notably: the role of explicit knowledge management in combating human trafficking was very high; the role of implicit knowledge management in combating human trafficking was high; and the role of knowledge management systems applications in combating human trafficking was high. One of the main challenges of knowledge management in combating human trafficking was the presence of complex security procedures aimed at maintaining the confidentiality of information and knowledge. The study made several recommendations, the most important of which were: a national strategy should be developed to convert all implicit experiences and knowledge in combating human trafficking into explicit knowledge; the organizational culture should be motivating and enhancing for the maximum benefit from explicit and implicit knowledge and its sharing, linking it to an incentive system related to knowledge management practices and activities; and working on creating an interactive environment for managing, transferring, and storing knowledge to benefit from it in innovation and creativity processes in combating human trafficking.
