Abstract

Environmental diplomacy is considered one of the essential tools currently used to resolve international crises of an environmental nature. Not only that, but it also addresses issues of common international interest such as global warming, climate change, and other environmental threats amid international competition for energy and fossil pathways. The 2015 Paris Summit can be considered to represent the highest degree of international diplomatic coordination in resolving shared crises; however, this summit faced numerous obstacles such as the withdrawal of some countries, non-compliance, and other problems that keep the effectiveness of environmental diplomacy tied to the extent of commitment by industrial powers and major nations, particularly in light of the decline of international organizations like the United Nations in managing these crises. The study concluded that climate change permanently and continuously affects life on Earth, and it is primarily caused by humans alongside natural disasters. Under no circumstances can current challenges be confronted without establishing joint collective international visions to address these environmental challenges.
